Aaryan Midha
Aaryan Midha is an student at the University of Southern California pursuing a B.S. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and a Master’s in Global Medicine. His work across USC Student Health, the Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program, Blueprints for Pangaea, and SeeCing a Path Forward for Diabetes has shaped his interest in making health education more accessible before people reach a crisis point. As co-founder of Healthlet, Aaryan focuses on curriculum direction, user outreach, and partnerships with student health and community organizations. He hopes Healthlet can help students build the confidence to understand health information and navigate care more independently.
Mugil Shanmugam
Mugil Shanmugam is a junior at the University of Southern California studying Quantitative Biology. His experience with the Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program, CURAM, and Blueprints for Pangaea has shaped his interest in making health education clearer for students and local communities. As co-founder of Healthlet, Mugil leads product development and technical architecture, building the iOS app in SwiftUI and designing a simple mobile experience around daily health lessons. His work brings together health education and research to make Healthlet practical for students to use every day.
Why we built this
Navigating student health shouldn't require a medical degree. We saw our peers struggling to decipher insurance policies, find campus resources, and track basic health metrics. Healthlet was created to centralize and simplify this information.
